The nine team tournament sees teams split in two pools. Kenya,Cameroon, Tunisia, DR Congo and Burundi make up Pool B with hosts Rwanda, Morocco, Senegal and Nigeria make up Pool A.

Nine-time champions Malkia Strikers begin their CAVB Women's African Nations Championship campaign with a clash against defending champions Cameroon at the Kigali Arena on Sunday 12 September 2021. This match takes place at 5.00pm EAT.

Paul Bitok's charges head into this tournament minus Jane Wacu and Noel Murambi but still with high hopes of grabbing the continental crown from Cameroon who defeated them 3-2 in the 2019 final in Cairo, Egypt.
