Kenya's Malkia Strikers kicked off their Africa title defense with an impressive performance, sweeping aside Seychelles in straight sets on the opening day of the Africa Volleyball Championships in Accra.
The Kenyan team dominated the match, securing a comfortable 3-0 victory with set scores of 25-15, 25-8, and 25-21.
Having clinched the title five times previously, the Malkia Strikers are aiming for their sixth African championship. They compete in Pool B alongside Nigeria, Seychelles, and DR Congo.
Meanwhile, Kenya's men's team, Wafalme, will commence their campaign against Chad on Wednesday afternoon. They find themselves in Pool A, alongside hosts Ghana, Chad, and Gambia
