Liquid Telecom Renews Duncan's Rallying Sponsorship
Liquid Telecom has renewed sponsorship for six time national champion Ian Duncan in the upcoming 2016 Kenya National Rally Championship (KNRC) Championship.
Liquid Telecom which first sponsored Duncan and his team last has renewed the sponsorship his team in the upcoming 2015 Kenya National Rally Championship at a cost of KES 6.5 million, to enable the team to participate in the eight championship rallies.
The sponsors will enhance the rally experience by fitting GoPro cameras on the cage of Duncan’s car, which will capture live in-car footage that will be uploaded to an online public viewing platform, via Liquid Telecom’s very small aperture link (VSAT) uplink technology, at the end of each competitive section.
“We are using our technology to advance one of the most exciting sports by partnering with the best competitors in the motoring calendar and produce an enhanced and exciting rallying experience.” said Paul Statham, Chief Commercial Officer, Liquid Telecom Kenya.
In addition, Liquid Telecom will provide free Wi-Fi services for Duncan's crew in all rallies, using VSAT services in remote areas where there is no fibre connectivity.
