The Kenyan international fly half joins on a six month deal and will be a core part of their local sevens campaign which kicks off on 11 February and runs until July.

Grace Adhiambo Okulu has joined Japanese club side, Nagato Blue Angels.

The Kenyan international fly half joins on a six month deal and will be a core part of their local sevens campaign which kicks off on 11 February and runs until July.

Commenting on the move to Japan, Adhiambo said, “I’ve always been aiming to build my career as a professional athlete and I’m very grateful for the opportunity. I’m looking forward to deepening my skills and career as a rugby player.”


“I am just happy for this opportunity because it’s something that I really wished I can get and more by playing professionally rugby. This is a chance for me to get more skills in my rugby career and also to gain a lot from their end too.

Adhiambo, who joins Janet Okello as the second Kenya Lionesses player to play in Japan, will link up with South African Nadine Roos at the club.

The Blue Angels compete in the Taiyo Seimei Women’s Seven Series, where 12 clubs play in four tournaments over four months to determine a national champion.
