Leopards who have been struggling on the pitch this season following the one win recorded in eleven rounds are scheduled to play Sofapaka this weekend.

AFC Leopards will miss the services of Lewis Bandi for a longer period after the versatile defender underwent surgery to repair torn knee meniscus.

Bandi last played for Leopards in their 2-1 Mozzart Bet Cup semifinal loss to Kakamega Homeboyz, a game that was played in May at the Nyayo National Stadium.

Before the game, Bandi who can also play in midfield had been battling recurring knee problems and thus missed a number of matches.

The unavailability of the former national U-20 defender before the season began saw Leopards sign full backs to cover the void he left.

Besides missing Bandi, the Leopards technical bench will have to do without the input of goalkeeper Abubakar Musha who also underwent knee surgery

"Lewis Bandi and Abubakar Musha have today both  undergone a successful surgery  to repair their torn meniscus- an injury that has kept them out of action for a while,"read a confirmation from the den.

While Bandi is deemed as a senior player at Leopards, Musha is yet to make his competitive debut since gaining promotion from the club's junior side.

Other players battling injuries at the den are skipper Washington Munene, winger Cliff Nyakeya and experienced goalkeeper Levis Opiyo.

Leopards who have been struggling on the pitch this season following the one win recorded in eleven rounds are scheduled to play Sofapaka this weekend.

Sofapaka are placed at the rock bottom of the log with seven points, two off Ingwe who are coming off a 1-1 draw against Posta Rangers.
