Lacazette setback for Arsenal
Arsenal could face a shortage of strikers especially during the Europa League after Alex Lacazette was ruled out for up to six weeks after undergoing a surgery.
According to statement by the club, Lacazette, "had an arthroscopy on his left knee in London on Tuesday morning. The minor procedure was a success and he will now undergo a period of rehabilitation. It is envisaged that he will return to the squad within four to six weeks."
The setback leaves Arsenal with few options upfront as newly signed Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is ineligible to play in the Europa League. Arsenal have a date with Ostersunds FK in the last-32 round.
Lacazette joined Arsenal from Lyon in a record 52 million euros fee and is the London club's top scorer with 9 goals.
