KQ becomes Kenya national teams' official airline
Kenya Airways has today signed a one year partnership that will see the airline become the official national sports team carrier for international assignments .
The partnership was signed on Thursday morning by top KQ and ministry of Sports officials in the presence of senior federation officials during a signing ceremony held at the ministry of Sports headquarters in Nairobi.
Ministry of Sports Principal Secretary Peter Kaberia has said the move targets to support the national airline while also helps to cut costs while enhancing efficiency in travel plans for national team itinerary. .
Teams that will become immediate beneficiaries include national junior women soccer team the Harambee Starlets as they travel to Addis Ababa on September 15 for a World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia and the national men and women’s hockey teams who will be traveling to Cairo Egypt for World Cup qualifiers in October.
