Kipchoge admits that running Boston, which is different from Berlin, and the other flat courses he has tackled before is a challenge he is ready for as he chases his 11th win in an World Marathon Majors (WMM).

"At the moment I am training well. I will be ready for the race. The Boston course is uphill and it needs a lot of patience and hard work to go through. The weather in Boston is also unpredictable, it can change any time from wind pushing you to it being on your face.

I am trying to be all round such that whatever I face on the morning of 17th I am ready," Kipchoge told his NN Running Team in an interview.

Additionally, he says this has been the perfect time to use a training course they have nicknamed the 'Boston course' that is 40km of going up and down hills.

"This trail is hilly just like Boston. This is the only time I have concentrated on training here almost exclusively and it will help me,” Kipchoge added.

Boston and New York City Marathons are the only two in the WMM Kipchoge hasn't competed in.

As he heads to Boston next month, he says he has added the WMM course records to his target. He already has three records in London, Tokyo and Berlin.
