Kimani expects tough duel against Sofapaka

AFC might be without striker Vincent Oburu who has been nursing a muscle strain. The forward has sat out of the last three training sessions.

AFC leopards head coach Anthony Kimani says his side expects a tough duel against Sofapaka when the two sides clash at the Mumias Complex on Saturday evening. While AFC lost their last league match against Tusker FC, Sofapaka come into the tie beaming with confidence from their 3-1 victory over league leaders Gor Mahia.

Kimani however says his team is in the right frame of mind especially after a week long camp in Mumias and says they will be up to harvest maximum points in their home tie.

“Very tough team to play against and their confidence is high at the moment. We will need to be at our best because they have quality players especially their strikers. We saw how they played against Gor and we know what to expect from them,” stated the tactician.

He added; “We have prepared well for this game and the fact that we have been in camp for a whole week has been great for us. It has been sort of a team building exercise for us and especially for the new players who joined us in January. The morale is high and we expect a win.”
