Kenyan Volleyball Squads Arrive in Cairo for CAVB Zone 5 Africa Games Qualifiers

Malkia Strikers and Wafalme Stars have safely arrived in Cairo, marking the beginning of their journey in the CAVB Zone 5 Africa Games qualifiers. 

The teams are now focused on rigorous training schedules in preparation for the tournament set to kick off on Friday, January 26, 2024.

 In a statement from Cairo, Kenya Volleyball Federation President Charles Nyaberi expressed confidence in the readiness of Malkia Strikers and Wafalme Stars for the challenges that lie ahead. 

Despite the chilly weather in Cairo, Nyaberi noted that spirits within the teams are running high, and the players are well-prepared to face the upcoming competition.

Nyaberi assured that the cold weather is certainly manageable and emphasized the determination and commitment of both teams. 

The athletes are eager to represent Kenya on the continental stage, showcasing their skill and resilience. 

As the training sessions unfold, anticipation builds for the exciting clashes that await in the CAVB Zone 5 Africa Games qualifiers. Fans and supporters can expect a display of exceptional talent and teamwork as Malkia Strikers and Wafalme Stars aim for success in this prestigious volleyball event.

The Wafalme Stars last played in the African Games in 2011 in Maputo and will be fueled to secure their first qualification in 13 years.
