Kenyan trio debuts at Great Ethiopian Run
This is the first time Kenyan athletes took part in the Great Ethiopian Run

Kenyan athletes Kennedy Kimutai, Solomon Boit and Evans Kipkemei debuted at the Great Ethiopian Run in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Sunday 10 January 2021.
Kimutai was the highest ranked Kenyan in the race that has been ran every year since 2001, clocking 29 minutes 50.16 seconds over the 10km distance.
His countrymen Boit and Kipkemei finished 27th and 35th in times of 30 minutes 15.16 seconds and 30 minutes 50.64 seconds respectively.
Abe Gashaw won the race in a time of 28 minutes 19.10 seconds with Tadese Worku and Milesa Mengesha coming home second and third in times of 28 minutes 20. 40 seconds and 28 minutes 39.15 seconds respectively.
The Great Ehtiopian Run is the initiative of Ethiopian distance running legend Haile Gebreselassie who won the inaugural race in 2001.
