Kenyan born Kamau features in A-League fixture
Kenya born midfielder Bruce Kamau was in action for Adelaide United as they romped to a 4-1 win over Melbourne City in Adelaide on Saturday.
United led 3-0 at the interval through goals from Miguel Palanca was made to work with a heavy pass,superbly controlling the ball before shooting low and hard inside the right hand post for a 1-0 lead after 11 minutes of play.
Sanchez Alberto doubled the score with a 20th minute goal as the 20 year old Kamau continued to be a threat down the left flank.
Tarek Elrich weaved a path after a stunning run through the City defence from the halfway line and his finish was just as good, beating the keeper for one of the goals of the season - United ahead 3-0 at half time.
Kamau would go for goal with an ambitious shot from just inside the box watches on as his kick landed into the crowd seven minutes into the second half.
Cameron Watson made it 4-0 for the home side with a 58th minute penalty.
Kamau would concede a penalty seven minutes later,fouling Aaron Mooy in the box. Mooy slotted home the penalty for City’s consolation goal.
The result sees Adelaide United qualify for the elimination finals where they shall face the Brisbane Roar.
