Kenya to face Mauritius as Billie Jean King Cup Kicks Off

In the 2023 Africa edition, Kenya secured a respectable third place, while Morocco triumphed, defeating Tunisia 2-1 in a thrilling final in Nairobi

The stage is set for an exciting showdown as the Billie Jean King Cup begins in Nairobi on Monday, June 10th. Team Kenya, placed in Pool B, will face Mauritius in their opening match, setting the centre court action in motion.

Kenya's squad, led by coach Francis Rogoi, remains unchanged with Angella Okutoyi, Alicia Owegi, Roselinda Asumwa, Cynthia Cheruto, and Stacy Yego ready to compete. 

Pool B features Kenya alongside Mauritius, Tunisia, and Burundi in this twelve-team tournament divided into four pools.

In the 2023 Africa edition, Kenya secured a respectable third place, while Morocco triumphed, defeating Tunisia 2-1 in a thrilling final in Nairobi. 

With their victory last season, Morocco earned promotion to the Euro/Africa Group II.

As the tournament serves off, all eyes will be on Kenya as they aim to build on their past performance and make a strong start against Mauritius.
