Kenya's Rugby Sevens team, The Shujaas, are primed to kick off their Olympic campaign in Paris this week with Rugby Sevens scheduled as one of the first sports to get underway, with the Kenyans taking the field on Wednesday, July 24th.
The Shujaas were the first Kenyan team to arrive at the Olympic village in Paris, after a rigorous two-week training camp in Miramas Southern France.
Led by coach Kevin Wambua, the team is aiming to improve on their performances in Rio and Tokyo, targeting at least two victories in their challenging Pool B where they will face off against 2024 Sevens league champions Argentina, Australia, and Samoa.

- Pool A: New Zealand, Ireland, Japan, South Africa
- Pool B: Kenya, Argentina, Australia, Samoa
- Pool C: France, Fiji, USA, Uruguay
