Kenya beats Nigeria in straight sets to qualify for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo
Finally, Kenya's women volleyball team's long wait for a return to the Olympic games has ended and Kenya will be back at the games since their last participation in 2004.
Under the guidance of coach Paul Bitok, Kenya has qualified as Africa representatives after a one hundred percent win record during the qualifying tournament held in Yaounde Cameroon.
Kenya won her final match on Thursday beating Nigeria in straight sets of 25-15,25-21 and 25-12 to make a return to the games since last participating in the Greece Edition.
Earlier in the week, Kenya edged out rivals Egypt 3-1, Botswana 3-0 and hosts Cameroon 3-2 to boost their winning chances against Nigeria.
Kenya lost the last opportunity to qualify for the 2016 Rio Olympic games after falling to Cameroon at the qualifiers held in Yaounde and later failed to make impact during the FIVB inter continental playoffs in Puerto Rico.
