Nyakach Girls’ sensational forward Velma Awuor, Lorna Faith and captain Elizabeth Ochaka each were on the score sheet as Kenya beat Ethiopia 3-0 in the return leg of the world Cup qualifier played at the Ulinzi stadium on Sunday afternoon.
With the win, Kenya advanced to the fourth and final round of the world Cup qualifiers where they will take on Burundi.
Burundi qualified to the final round after thrashing Djibouti 25-0 on aggregate in the return leg of the third round which was played in Ethiopia.
Having picked the opener at the stroke of halftime through captain Elizabeth Ochaka’s header, Velma powered the team’s performance with a spectacular finish in the 55th minute powering herself with a lovely turn, drive and eventually dipping a lovely volley behind a hapless Ethiopian keeper.
Second half substitute Lorna Faith finished Kenya’s scoring spree in the 69th minute with a long range left footer to dip a lovely shot behind The Ethiopian keeper.

The two teams, Kenya and Ethiopia played to a barren draw in the first leg played at the Abebe Bikila stadium in Addis Ababa.
Ahead of the third round, Kenya qualified with a bye after Democratic Republic withdrew from the competition while Ethiopia defeated South Africa 3-0.
The FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup final will be held in The Dominican Republic between 10th October to 3rd November this year where Africa is expected to be represented by three teams.
The CECAFA Region will be represented by one team between Kenya and Burundi who face off in the fourth and final round.
