Currently, the team sits 15th in the league standings with 6 points, 11 points behind leaders KCB, having played three fewer games.

FKF Kenyan Premier League side Kenya Police FC has sent packing it’s entire technical bench after a series of poor performances.  Women’s team coach Beldine Odemba will take charge of the team on an interim basis until a permanent replacement is appointed.

This decision comes just few days after their 1 – 0 away loss to Shabana in Kisii. The team was previously headed by Salim Babu , who guided them to a third place finish in the league last season with 57 points. However, Babu was joined by a co-coach, Antony Kimani, in a move to satisfy CAF and league new head coach requirements as Babu lacks a CAF A certificate.

The situation became even more complicated when the club appointed Congolese Ishmael Balanga as technical director, with photos of him conducting a training session days later raising questions. The Congolese later on silently parted ways with the club last week.

Currently, the team sits 15th in the league standings with 6 points, 11 points behind leaders KCB, having played three fewer games.

Coach Odemba is no stranger in the Kenyan sports scene. She is the national women’s team coach and also serves as the coach of Kenya Police Bullets FC. She guided Bullets into winning the Women Kenyan Premier League 2023/24 unbeaten, in their first year of conception.

Despite being one of the biggest spenders in the league, their substantial financial investment in new players has not translated into better performance on the pitch this season.

Even after the club acquired the services of Jesse Were, Daniel Sakari, Jackson Macharia, Alfred Leku and Brian Musa during the window, the team has performed poorly securing only one win this season and were bundled out of the CAF Confederations Cup after losing home and away to El Zamalek.
