Youngsters Loice Simiyu and Juliana Namutira who were impressive for Kenya Pipeline and KCB in the just-concluded CAVB Club Championships have made the national team provisional squad.
Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) on Wednesday 31 May named a provisional squad of 20 that is expected in camp next week in preparation for the FIVB Challenger Cup set for 25 to 31 June in France.
The team is expected to have a 10-day training camp in Morocco before heading out to France for the four-team Challenger competition that will qualify the winner for the VNL.
Also making the team is Delphine Misoki, younger sister to KCB's Emmaculate Nekesa who turns out for Prisons Kenya.
Making a return to the team is Kenya Pipeline trio of setter Rose Magoi who last featured in the national team back in 2015, Triza Atuka who has been out of the team since 2019 and Pamela Adhiambo who was named in the provisional squad for last year's World Championships bit never made the team.
The team is also preparing for Africa Cup of Nations and the Olympics qualifiers.
