Kenya beach volleyball team off to Austria for World Championships
The national women beach volleyball team of Gaudencia Makokha and Naomi Too left Nairobi on Wednesday night for Austria ahead of their debut appearance at the senior World Beach Volleyball championships in Vienna Austria.
The Pipeline duo is be accompanied by Kenya Beach Volleyball chairman and KVF Secretary General Ben Juma and will open their championship against Agatha and Duda of Brazil on July 29th.
On 30th July the team will face Netherlands duo of Meppelink and Van Gestel and a third match on August 1st when they take on Canadian duo of Gordon and Saxton.
Gaudencia and Too return to the world beach volleyball scene after their U-23 experience in Poland in 2013 placed them 25th.
