The draw sees Police move to 16th in the standings with 8 points, just outside the relegation zone thanks to a better goal difference over Nairobi City Stars.
Francis Kahiro scored and was forced off with an injury as league leaders KCB were held to a 1 – 1 draw with struggling Kenya Police FC on Wednesday November 27th at the Dandora Stadium.
KCB wasted no time in getting the lead in the 3rd minute when Kahiro tapped in a rebound from Daniel Sakari's block, to give the bankers an early advantage. Unfortunately, Kahiro had to be substituted later in the first half after sustaining an injury.
Despite dominating the game, KCB failed to extend their lead while the Beldine Odemba led Kenya Police kept pushing for an equalizer in the few chances they got. It finally paid off in the minute 63rd when David Okoth capitalized on a defensive to win the ball and initiate an attack. His cross was cleared by KCB's defense but Francis Kahata was in the right place at the right time to level the score, with the game finishing 1 – 1.
Notably, this was Odemba’s last match as Police FC interim coach with the management expected to announce a new head coach, with Robert Matano, Francis Kimanzi, and Patrick Aussems among the potential candidates.
The draw sees Police move to 16th in the standings with 8 points, just outside the relegation zone thanks to a better goal difference over Nairobi City Stars. The uniformed men have only managed one win this season, drawing the five other games while losing one. KCB on the other hand retain top spot with 21 points.
