KCB Dominates KDF in KVF League Showdown at Nyayo Stadium

In another match played on Sunday , Postbank displayed an impressive performance, clinching a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Kenya Army.

The KCB Women’s Volleyball Team delivered an impressive 3-0 victory over Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) in a thrilling match at Nyayo Stadium during the third leg of the Kenya Volleyball Federation (KVF) League.

From the very start, KCB set a relentless pace that KDF struggled to match. The first set saw the bankers clinch a 25-19 win, while continuing their dominance in the second set, overwhelming their opponents 25-6.

The third set saw KCB seal the victory with a commanding 25-12 win, showcasing the tactical brilliance of head coach Japheth Munala. Setter Fridah Boke, who recently joined the team from Kwathanze Secondary School, stood out as the match’s MVP. Her precise setting was pivotal in creating opportunities for her teammates, allowing them to execute powerful attacks and control the flow of the game.

KCB Captain Edith Wisa expressed satisfaction with the team’s performance, stating, “We want to continue winning games to maintain the impressive start we had to the new season. The coaches and technical staff have been working so hard to ensure that we are fit enough and ready to play. The best way to reward them is to keep winning matches and it is exactly what we are doing. I am happy with this win.”

Earlier in the day, KCB also triumphed over Nairobi Prison with a dominant 3-0 victory, securing set wins of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-14.

 

In another match played on Sunday , Postbank displayed an impressive performance, clinching a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Kenya Army.

The match unfolded with thrilling intensity across four sets. Postbank narrowly edged out Kenya Army in the first set, 25-23, before dominating the second set, 25-15, showcasing their ability to adapt and capitalize on key moments. Although Kenya Army mounted a spirited comeback in the third set, winning 25-23, Postbank responded with an authoritative performance in the fourth set, closing the match with a commanding 25-11 victory.
