Kariobangi Sharks FC and Harambee Stars U20 left back Collins Ochieng’ has signed a deal to join Danish second division side AC Horsens. Ochieng’ has signed a three years contract with an option to extend.
Ochieng’ has been on the AC Horsens radar for quite some time and it was reported that the club had earlier on asked for the player to go for trials. However, it is reported that Shark owner Nick Mwendwa declined and insisted that the player will only leave after a deal has been finalized.
As part of the deal, Sharks will now get $250k equivalent to 32 million Kenyan shillings. Ochieng’, a Red Eagles academy product, has left the country to go and join his new club.
He is not the first lucrative deal departure from the club this season as midfielder Stanley Wilson also departed for Swedish side AIK in August, with his transfer estimated to be valued at $200k ( Ksh 25.8 million).
