Kandanda House reopens : Never a dull day in Kenyan football

It will be recalled that Amina, in disbanding the FKF, also ordered for the closure of Kandanda House, sparking off a series of events that first of all saw the formation of a bungling, ineffective and at times comical Caretaker Committee - initially chaired by Aaron Ringera before Maurice Oyugi took over with Lindah Oguttu heading the Secretariat as the Committee morphed into a Transition Committee that was intended to steer in a new football administration.

The never ending Kenyan football shenanigans have a brand new twist after Football Kenya Federation President Nick Mwendwa, who regime was ousted by outgoing Sports Cabinet Secretary Amina Mohammed, took charge of the FKF’s Secretariat at Kandanda House in Kasarani on Tuesday morning.

These shenanigans saw Kenya banned from international football by FIFIA in February this year for government interference while court charges were brought against Mwendwa before being dropped.

Yesterday the league was postponed due to the KECOSO Games, today Kandanda House has reopened. One wonders what tomorrow holds.

Whatever the case, there is never a dull day in Kenyan football
