Kakamega Homeboyz will stage their remaining Football Federation Premier League matches at the Mumias Sports Complex following the closure of the Bukhungu Stadium.
The facility will not host another contest after the contractor on site launched works aimed at improving the playing surface to meet the set standards by CAF.
With the works already underway, Homeboyz will have to shift camp to Mumias which also serves as home ground for National Super League side Mulembe United.

The stadium has been earmarked to host the CHAN tournament later this year and will have to undergo a grand upgrade if it is be passed fit for the showpiece
Despite being opened years ago after the completion of phase one, the contractor hasn't made major strides in as far as erecting the stands and improving the playing surface.
Last month, Cabinet Secretary for Sports Ababu Namwamba vowed to inject finances into the project and have it ready for the CHAN tournament which Kenya will be hosting for the first time.
Kenya would have hosted the tournament which brings players from domestic leagues across the continent in 2017 but was striped of the rights for dragging feet in having the earmarked stadia ready.
Besides hosting CHAN, Kenya will jointly host the 2027 Africa Cup of Nationa finals alongside Uganda and Tanzania.
Last year, Governor Fernandez Barasa allocated Ksh. 570 million for the completion of phase two of the project.
Bukhungu hosted part of the 2017 CECAFA Senior Challenge matches alongside the Moi Stadium in Kisumu and Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos.
