Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat has announced a new squad that will travel to Uganda to host South Sudan on November 3rd, 2024, in the return leg of the 2025 African Nations Championships (CHAN) qualifiers. The coach has included eleven new players in the lineup.
Kenya who’ve already qualified for the tournaments on a virtue of being the hosts lost 2 – 0 in the first leg in Juba. To advance to the next round, they must win by at least three goals, with the winner facing Rwanda or Djibouti in the second round.
Among those called up include Tusker FC in-form striker Ryan Ogam, who scored a brace during the weekend fixture when his club lost 3 – 2 to KCB. Ogam has been on an impressive form this season, netting five goals in four FKF Kenyan Premier League matches.
KCB forward Francis Kahiro, who currently shares the top scorer title with Ogam has also been included in the squad. Additionally, Kakamega Homeboyz striker Moses Shumah has also been selected while also Police FC defender Abud Omar returns from injury.
