Kabras Rally to retain Enteprise Crown
Also in a match played at the same venue on Saturday , Mombasa were crowned the New Nationwide Champions after their 31-16 win over JKUAT Cougars.
Kabras RFC on Saturday came from behind to beat Rivals KCB 27-30 in a result that saw them retain the Enterprise Cup at the RFUEA Grounds.
The thrilling match had KCB take a commanding lead in the opening half with Darwin Mukidza first on the board with a 3-0 penalty score before Jacob Ojee touched down for an 8-0 stretch.
Another Fidel Maina Try and Mukidza’s penalty had KCB enjoying an 18-0 lead but a change of game plan saw the Sugar men rally with impressive performances from Dan Sikuta and Valerian Tendwa pushing for an 18-7 break score.
In the end , it was The Sugar Men who had the last laugh putting up an exciting second half with Substitute backrow Lawrence Lumumba touching down at the death to condemn KCB to a trophyless season.
Earlier in the season, Kabras had defeated KCB 19-9 to retain the Kenya Cup during the finals played in Kakamega in March.
