Junior Starlets a Step away from World Cup – Team Lands in Ethiopia

The winner of this two-legged encounter will earn a spot as one of Africa’s representatives at this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, set to be held in the Dominican Republic in October.

The Kenyan squad of Junior Starlets has arrived in Ethiopia ahead of their crucial World Cup qualifying match against Burundi. The match will take place on Sunday, June 9, 2024, at the Abebe Bikila Stadium in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, with the return leg scheduled for Sunday, June 16, 2024, in Nairobi.

The winner of this two-legged encounter will earn a spot as one of Africa’s representatives at this year’s FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup, set to be held in the Dominican Republic in October.

Kenya advanced to the final round after defeating Ethiopia 3-0 in Nairobi in the penultimate round of the qualifiers, while Burundi secured their place with a massive 25-0 aggregate victory over Djibouti.
