Harambee Stars have been handed a massive boost ahead of Monday evening’s do or die Africa Cup of Nations Group C clash against Senegal after defenders Joash Onyango and Philemon Otieno resumed training.
Onyango picked up an ankle sprain on the eve of the first game of the competition against Algeria while Philemon picked a knock during that defeat to Senegal and missed the Tanzania match.
The two will be available for selection. Philemon will most likely start the game after his replacement during the Tanzania game David Owino faced a torrid time and was replaced at half time by Bernard Ochieng.
Joash might find it hard to start with his replacement Joseph ‘Crouch’ Okumu having been one of Kenya’s best performers so far in the tourney. Stars need at least a point against Senegal to progress to the knockout stages.
A loss by a small margin might still be enough to take them through especially if the other group matches go in their favor. As at now, Kenya sits second among the number three teams.
