Jesse Were to replace Olunga for Ghana tie
Micheal Olunga to miss Ghana vs Kenya
Harambee Stars will miss the services of in-form striker Micheal Olunga in the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Ghana's Black Stars to be played in Accra, Ghana on 23rd March.
Olunga picked a hamstring in his appearance for Kashiwa Reysol against Albirex Niigata last weekend that will keep him out of action for three weeks. His solitary strike earned his Japanese side three points in the Japan Second Tier league. Before that Olunga had scored a brace in a Cup match to make his tally this season to three goals in two matches.
In Olunga's absence, FKF reports that Zambia based Jesse Were has been drafted in to the squad by Coach Sebastian Migne. The team will join camp this weekend.
Kenya and Ghana have already qualified for 2019 Africa Cup of Nation to be staged in Egypt between June 21, and July 19, 2019.
