Ingwe Fans Turn Up the Heat on Trucha Amid Poor Performance

Despite a perfect start to the season with three wins out of six, placing them fourth on the log with ten points, the current form has left many questioning the team’s direction.

Just days after celebrating the one-year anniversary of Coach Thomas Trucha’s return to the den, pressure has started mounting from frustrated fans due to poor and inconsistent performances. The outcry follows a disappointing 1 – 0 defeat to Murang’a seals in a mid-week FKF Premier League fixture at the Sportpesa Arena.

Not long ago, optimism of the title finally coming home was high, fueled by a 2 – 1 victory over Nairobi City Stars and a hard fought 1 - 1 draw against Kariobangi Sharks. However, the recent loss has raised serious concerns about the team’s consistency and tactical approach, prompting fans to voice their frustrations.

In a public open letter addressed to Trucha, fans expressed their dissatisfaction, stating, “This letter serves as a written warning to you regarding your poor performances in the latest Kenyan Premier League matches as revealed by your performances report. We have continuously monitored your performances and it has occurred to us that the ratings are not satisfactory and have consistently failed to meet the team’s expectations.”

The fans then called on Trucha to resign if they do not see any significant improvement in their upcoming match. “If we do not see any significant improvement in your performance during the next league match against Mara Sugar, we will have no choice but to call on you to terminate your contract with AFC Leopards SC.”

Despite a perfect start to the season with three wins out of six, placing them fourth on the log with ten points, the current form has left many questioning the team’s direction. If tactical changes are whatever changes that are needed can’t be made soon, they will have to postpone their title hopes once again to next season.
