The deal will see all the 18 FKF PL clubs receive KES 300,000 and Azam Media Limited broadcast two FKF PL fixtures
Football Kenya Federation has today announced that all Kenyan Premier League Clubs will benefit from the short-term agreement between the Federation and Tanzania’s Broadcast house AZAM.
In a statement on Saturday afternoon, FKF wrote that, "Football Kenya Federation (FKF) is pleased to announce that it has entered a short-term broadcast deal with Azam Media Limited.”
The deal will see all the 18 FKF PL clubs receive KES 300,000 and Azam Media Limited broadcast two FKF PL fixtures, Kariobangi Sharks vs Tusker and Gor Mahia vs AFC Leopards, scheduled to be played on May 13, 2023, and May 14, 2023, respectively.” FKF CEO Barry Otieno said in a statement.
Kenyan soccer clubs have struggled through tough economic times especially after the departure of all broadcast partners including Super Sport.
FKF has however not elaborated on whether there exist talks for further partnerships in future.
