This top of the table battle will arguably be the highlight fixture of the weekend set for Saturday at the Nyayo National Stadium

The Kenya National Handball League for men and women continues this week Saturdays 25 and Sunday 26th 2023 at the Nyayo National Stadium with Nationals Youths Service taking on Desert Scorpion in the opening match of the weekend, before returning to the field to face young city.

On Sunday Young City will take on the Technical University while Desert Scorpions take on Thika based JKUAT. Daystar University men’s team will be seeking to secure a top 10 position as they lock horns with NYS on Sunday paving way for the last match of the weekend pitting TUK VS JKUAT.

Second placed NCPB Ladies has set their claws on inflicting the first defeat of the season to defending champions and first placed Nairobi Water who are on a 9-match winning streak. Nairobi Water withstood a spirited onslaught from one of their nemeses Ulinzi sharks in their last match coming out victors with a goal difference in a match the ended in Favor or the Water Ladies 28-27.

The two Antagonists will use the match to gauge their preparedness for the forthcoming East and Central Club champions where they will be joined by Ulinzi Sharks as the third Kenyan Team.

There will be little movement in the top six position of the league as NCPB Men is guaranteed to top the table standing Kenya Handball National Men's League latest table standings (michezoafrika.com)  

Speaking to Michezoafrika.com, KHF league coordinator Mr. George Asimeto indicated that the League will take a break until January after this weekend matches. “The break is necessary to give teams participating in the East African Challenge cup time to prepare and participate.  This will also enable the National team prepare for the for the Cup of Nation in Egypt” Concluded Geroge.
