Just days after the sacking of Coach Kenneth Kenyatta, Kakamega Homeboyz have found their footing into winning ways after securing a 2 – 0 victory against Nairobi City Stars at the Mumias Complex in a midweek encounter on Wednesday.
Homeboyz were quick to take the lead in the 6th minute of the game with a goal from Oliver Majak. Striker Moses Shumah extended their advantage just before halftime, netting in added time to give Abana Ba Ingo a 2 – 0 lead.

Following this victory, Homeboyz have moved up two spots to thirteenth pace.
