Butali, Jaguars and Police occupy the first three positions on the standings with 20, 19 and 17 points from eight matches each played in that order respectively.

The Kenya Hockey Union Leagues resume this weekend after a two-week break that paved way for the national team to train as well as the Betty Tioni Memorial tournament held in Nakuru.

Defending champions Butali Sugar Warriors, Western Jaguars and former champions Kenya Police will all be in action this weekend with all looking to scale to the top.

Butali, Jaguars and Police occupy the first three positions on the standings with 20, 19 and 17 points from eight matches each played in that order respectively.

United States International University Africa (USIU A) Mashujaa are placed fourth with 11 points from eight matches played and regardless of the results the top three teams will post in their fixtures at the weekend, the teams can only change hands in the position.

Jaguars will take on Police at the Eregi Teachers Training College grounds in what will be the last fixture of the first leg.

Police beat Jaguars 3-2 in the final of  Vaisakhi International Tournament at Sikh Union Club in Nairobi in April.

While Police will be looking to move second on the standings, Jaguars will be hoping to go top and in the process, dislode Butali who at the apex.
