Harambee Stars tackle Burundi

Harambee Stars tackle Burundi Swallows in their second group match of the 2015 Cecafa Senior Challenge on Wednesday afternoon at the Hawassa Stadium aiming Cup to wrap up a quarter finals ticket.

Stras beat Uganda Cranes 2-0 in their first match on Sunday and a win over the Swallows will be enough to fire them to the tourney’s quarters.

Speaking to Michezoafrika, Stars assistant coach Musa Otieno said that the Sunday win worked to their favour and the goal is to win another volatile match to sail to the quarters.

“We were fatigued and it called for recovery. We just want to do well and the boys are ready.”

Striker Michael Olunga will be racing against time after picking a minor ankle injury in training but Otieno said he is fit for the game.Olunga will be up against his teammate Karim Nazigimana who will be lining up for Burundi.

Team skipper David ‘Cheche’ Ochieng was also bullish ahead of the game.

“As a defender, my aim is to keep a clean sheet, and of course, to win matches and lift the trophy.
