The Kenyan team arrived in Kampala on Monday, a few days before their clash against Zimbabwe.

Kenyan fans will head to Kampala, Uganda, this week for a rare occasion where the Kenya national soccer team, Harambee Stars, will play their home match away from Nairobi due to the lack of a CAF-approved stadium in Kenya with Kasarani under renovations.

Harambee Stars will face Zimbabwe at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, Kampala, Uganda, on Friday, September 6th, marking the opening match of their Group J campaign for the CAF Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers. Kenya is grouped with Cameroon, Zimbabwe, and Namibia, vying for a spot in the tournament set to be held in Morocco this December.

A total of 48 nations have been divided into 12 groups of four, with the top two teams from each of the 11 groups—excluding the group involving hosts Morocco—advancing to the tournament.

The Kenyan team arrived in Kampala on Monday, a few days before their clash against Zimbabwe. Following this match, they will travel to South Africa for their second game against Namibia on September 10th.

Other foreign based players including captain Michael Olunga, Jonah Ayunga, Eric Ouma, Joseph Okumu, and Richard Odada are expected to join the squad in Uganda.
