Kenya Handball Federation (KHF) league action resumes this weekend with six matches scheduled for Saturday and similar number on Sunday.

The league matches will be held at the Kaloleni handball court, as communicated by the fixtures secretary Charles Omondi.

Having taken a break in late November to pave way for the East and Central Africa Handball Federation championship held in Nairobi and the men's African Championship in January, the league returns with exciting clashes this weekend.

Saturday's action begins with a Women's league match-up between school girls Rising Star and National Youth Service (NYS), the latter looking to bag their sixth win in 14 matches while their opponent chases just their second win in 8 matches.

The other women’s league match of the day will pit Daystar Falcons against Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), a varsity derby that promises edge-of-the-seat action.

Falcons have only won two of their 11 matches so far, picking two more draws to rank 9th in the 12-team league while their counterparts are on one win in 9 matches and will be keen to add one more victory to their tally.

Sunday's women’s league action will see two more matches, involving Rising Star played at 9 am and 1.30 pm against Falcons and Mountain Queens respectively.

Meanwhile, the men's league has one of the top five teams, Black Mamba, in action.

Saturday matches have Buccaneers, 12th on the 25-team log, taking on NYS at 10.30 am while school boys, Inspired, play Hunters. Strathmore go up against Nanyuki while Technical University of Kenya (TUK) play Spartans.

Sunday's men's league has Black Mamba, fifth on the log with 8 wins and 1 draw in ten matches, playing TUK as Buccaneers are back in action against Spartans.

Newbies, Daystar men, take on Strathmore in a varsity derby not to be missed as JKUAT men face Inspired test.
