KAS is in Group A alongside fellow nation representatives Kenya Elite Junior Academy,  who took the spot of Ethiopia’s Kenema.

Butere Girls High School captain and Junior Starlets midfielder Halima Imbachi will captain the Kenya Academy of Sports select team at the CAF U17 CECAFA region Girls Integrated Football Tournament set to take place in Tanzania. 

The midfielder who started all the games for Junior Starlets at the World Cup made the cut alongside team mate Lindey Weey Atieno and Mitchel  Waithera. Talanta FC coach Jacklyne Juma will be the head tactician on the bench assisted by Veronica Achieng'. Kayole Starlets goalkeeper Pauline Mango will be the one in charge of Junior Starlets custodians in the competition. 

KAS is in Group A alongside fellow nation representatives Kenya Elite Junior Academy,  who took the spot of Ethiopia’s Kenema. They are alongside Tanzania’s JKT Queens and South Sudan's City Lights. 

Group B consists of TDS Girls from Tanzania, B. Consilli girls from Uganda, Hilaad FC from Somalia and Aigle Noir FC from Burundi. The tournament that is set to take place at the Azam Complex Stadium in Dar es Salaam, will run from January 7 to 18, 2025. This ground breaking tournament aims to foster the growth of women's football across Africa.
