Gor Fall Again  As Police Salvage Draw Against Sofapaka

In Dandora, Kenya Police FC came from behind to earn their third draw of the season against Sofapaka SC

FKF Premier League reigning champions Gor Mahia's struggles continued as they were defeated 2 – 0 by Bandari FC in their midweek fixture on 6th November, 2024 at the Ukunda Show Grounds. This marks the third time in two weeks that K’Ogalo have dropped points, further intensifying pressure on the team from their fans. 

Gor began the match on a strong note, dominating possession and dictating play from onset. However, despite their superiority, they failed to convert their chances, finishing the first half without a single shot on target.

In the second half, the visitors were reduced to ten men in the 66th minute after Geoffrey Ochieng’ was sent off for a foul on Izzadin Ramadhan. Bandari took advantage of the resulting freekick and broke the deadlock as Geoffrey Ojunga took it superbly to give the home side a 1 – 0 lead. Ten minutes later, Izzadin was back, turning provider and assisting Beja Nyamawi, who doubled Bandari’s lead, securing a 2 – 0 win for the hosts.

 

In Dandora, Kenya Police FC came from behind to earn their third draw of the season against Sofapaka SC. Sofapaka took the lead in the early minutes of the game through Joseph Kuloba, before David Okoth equelled the score in the 51st minute. Police had to finish the game with ten men after left-back Abud Omar was sent off in the 61st minute due to violent conduct.

With the win, Bandari climbs to sixth with 9 points while Gor Mahia move to eleventh with 8 points. Kenya Police are thirteenth with 6 points and Sofapaka occupy ninth with 9 points. Notably, Gor, Bandari and Police each have not less than three games in hand.
