Gor, Zoo, Mathare in action as FKF Premier League continues
Zoo and Mathare United play their first league matches of the season as Gor return to action after their midweek exit from the CAF Champions League
Past league action between Zoo Kericho and Wazito FC
There is no time to rest for defending champions Gor Mahia as they return to FKF Premier League action after Wednesday’s 1-2 home defeat to Algeria’s CR Belouizdad saw them crash out of the CAF Champions League 1-8 on aggregate.
The 19 time champions currently have four matches in hand. They take on second placed Kariobangi Sharks on Sunday at the Kasarani Stadium in one of seven match day seven fixtures lined up on the weekend of 10 and 11 January 2021.
Saturday’s fixtures will pit current leaders KCB against newcomers Bidco United in the early kickoff as fourth placed AFC Leopards face Wazito. Both matches will be played at Kasarani. Zoo Kericho belatedly make their first appearance of the season with a clash against the Andre Casa Mbungo coached Banadari at the Afraha Stadium in Nakuru.
Ken Odhiambo takes charge of 2009 champions Sofapaka for the first time as his side hosts 2008 champions Mathare United in Wundanyi. Mathare will also be making their first appearance of the season following a recent ruling by the Sports Disputes Tribunal to stay their explusion, alongside Zoo Kericho, from the country's top tier after a television rights dispute with Football Kenya Federation.
Sunday’s other fixtures will pit Kakamega Homeboyz against Tusker at the Bukhungu Stadium in Kakamega as Nzoia Sugar will face Western Stima at the Sudi Stadium in Bungoma County.
