Gaspo Women Football Club has reversed the decision to boycott the final fixture of the
Season pitting them against champions Vihiga Queens.
The club had declared its intention of giving the clash a wide berth but didn’t provide concrete reasons on what might have fuelled their decision to stay away.
Gaspo, watched their hopes of landing the league title go up in the air last weekend after playing Wadadia to a 2-2 draw.
The result handed their closest rivals Vihiga the title as they beat Nakuru City Queens 2-1 to attain unassailable point tally.

The Jacob ‘Ghost’ Mulee coached side confirmed availability for the match through its social media accounts, ending speculation that Vihiga could play a friendly game in the final day of the season before their coronation.
Vihiga were earlier scheduled to play an exhibition match against Division One side Kibera Soccer Queens before gracing the podium.
“After consultations, we have decided to honour the fixture against Vihiga Queens FC in #FKFWPL match that was scheduled for Saturday, 27th May 2023.
Apologies to all fans, supporters and stakeholders of Gaspo Women Football Club for all the inconveniences caused,” read a confirmation from the club’s social media handles.
The confirmation from the club means that the two top teams will clash this weekend at the Gems Cambridge grounds.
