Two national soccer teams will be in action over and after the Easter holiday at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos. Fans can watch the matches free of charge as Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has announced a waiver in a bid to encourage fans to fill the stadium.

Harambee Stars Under 20 side hosts Rwanda in a Africa Cup of Nations Under 20 category on April 1 2018 then Harambee Starlets welcomes Uganda Falcons on 4th April in an Africa Women Cup of Nations first leg qualifier at the same venue.

FKF General Secretary/CEO Robert Muthomi explained the rationale behind the free netry move to FKF website.

“FKF remains committed to developing all aspects of the game. In this perspective, we have decided to let fans watch the matches for free in our endeavor to promote the sport to the Kenyan populace,” said  Muthomi.

Harambee Starlets beat Zambia’s Shepolopolo 3-0 in an international friendly at Author Davies Stadium, Kitwe, Zambia.

The Starlets are faced with only two matches to qualify for a second consecutive Africa Women’s Cup of Nations which will be held in Ghana from November 17- December 1. A win over Uganda in the home and away ties will earn them a ticket to the second and ultimate qualification round where they will face off with Equatorial Guinea.
