Derrick Ashihundu emerged as the hero for Kabras Sugar during their emphatic 87-0 triumph over Mwamba in Kenya Cup MD5 action on Saturday, January 20, 2024. Ashihundu's spectacular four-try performance not only sealed the win and maintained Kabras Sugar's lead atop the standing, it also propelled him back to the summit of the Kenya Cup try-scoring charts with an impressive tally of 10 tries.

Following closely behind Ashihundu are his teammate Lameck Ambetsa and Menengai Oilers' Beldad Ogeta, both boasting 7 tries apiece. The KCB trio of Griffin Musilia, Festus Shiasi, and Austin Sikutwa, alongside Kabras Sugar's George Nyambua, share the spotlight with 5 tries each.
