Imbalambala, who now grapples with visual impairment, once shared the field with Nahimana and Imbem during their time at AFC Leopards from 2012 to 2014.

In a heartwarming reunion, ex-AFC Leopards players Jonas Nahimana and Itubu Imbem recently visited their former teammate and captain, Martin Imbalambala, at his residence in Nairobi.

Imbalambala, who now grapples with visual impairment, once shared the field with Nahimana and Imbem during their time at AFC Leopards from 2012 to 2014.

During the visit, Nahimana and Imbem went beyond mere reminiscence, extending a helping hand to their fellow footballer.

In a generous display of solidarity, the duo pledged to cover Imbalambala's rent for the entire year, providing him with a welcome semblance of financial relief and stability. Writing on his Facebook page, Nahimana said, “We spent a good time, we talked about old stories while at AFC Leopards SC, we felt sad about what happened but then we remembered how blessed we are regardless of the situation, we had moments of gratitude, we laughed and the most important I saw my boy smile.”

Recognizing the significance of technology in daily life, especially for someone navigating visual challenges, Nahimana and Imbem took another thoughtful step. They equipped the former Kenya international midfielder with a laptop, a practical tool aimed at enabling him to carry out his day-to-day activities with greater ease.

“I normally don't like to mention things that I do for others, but for this one, it will be an exception not to brag but to encourage others to support as well.Imbem and I provided Ksh 20000 for grocery. Our brother needed a Laptop and we will bring it on Friday, and I will pay his rent for the whole year in advance he doesn't have to worry about that.I encourage people to help with anything.God bless my captain,” he added.
