The result saw Frank Ouna's charges cut the deficit between them and Vihiga to just one point, and with 10 games to go, the 2008 champions will certainly relish their chances of staying up.  Mathare are on 14 points with Vihiga in sixteenth place with 15 points.

Mathare United registered a crucial win on the road, defeating Vihiga United 2-1 to boos their hopes of surviving the chop. The result saw Frank Ouna's charges cut the deficit between them and Vihiga to just one point, and with 10 games to go, the 2008 champions will certainly relish their chances of staying up.  Mathare are on 14 points with Vihiga in sixteenth place with 15 points. 

Erick Kapaito scored from the spot, his 16th goal of the campaign seeing Kariobangi Sharks snap a five match winless streak with a 1- 0 result over AFC Leopards. Leopards stayed third on 40 points while Sharks are fifth on 34 points. 

Bidco United and Kakamega Homeboyz played out a 1-1 draw in Thika, Homeboyz staying ninth on 28 points while Bidco are eleventh on 27 points. 

Champions Gor Mahia were held scoreless by Bandari as Wazito and Sofapaka registered 1-0 wins over City Stars and Western Stima respectively.
