Kenya Under 20 Women’s National Team Assistant Captain and Zetech Sparks defender Rabecca Kwoba has secured a scholarship with Alcorn State University in the United States
All FKF Women’s Leagues, including the Women’s Premier League, National Super League and Division One, will observe a break this weekend. Action is set to resume on the weekend starting January 25th.
Meanwhile, clubs in these leagues will have the opportunity to bolster their squads as the Mid-Season Transfer Window opens on Friday, January 17th. The transfer window will be open for domestic transfers until February 14th, 2025.
Additionally, clubs will be able to make international transfers from January 31st through February 28th, 2025.
Most clubs are already in preparation for the transfer window with NSL Zone A side Gor Mahia Queens calling for trials from Monday 20th to Wednesday 22nd at the Makongeni grounds.
KWPL side Ulinzi Stars already have Junior Starlets U17 World Cup goalkeeper Velma Abwire and defender Lorrine Illavonga in their books, while Kenya Police Bullets will have to start life without last season’s league MVP Lydia Akoth who according to reports is headed to Tanzanian side Yanga Princess.
