FKF commits to clear Stars allowance

Football Kenya Federation has committed to pay Harambee Stars player allowances in two phases, a move aimed to quell dissatisfaction among players who claim they are owed allowances for over eight days.

Through a letter to the Team Manager Waliaula and copied to the press, President Sam Nyamweya offers to pay the first tranche on 30th November with an official from the federation travelling to Addis on Monday to ensure this is actualized.

Should the team make it past the quarter final, the outstanding balance will be cleared on the day of the final match.

Nyamweya who congratulated the team for their good performance thus far noted:  “Kindly note we cannot pay allowances in advance”

The team had threatened to boycott their third Group match against Zanzibar today should FKF fail to clear the allowances.

A win against Zanzibar will see the team qualify for the quarter final as the top team in Group B.
