Firat names Harambee Stars squad ahead of AFCON Qulifiers

The team is set to kick off its campaign on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, Uganda, before facing Namibia in South Africa on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

Kenya's soccer team head coach, Engin Firat, has unveiled his squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers in Morocco. Kenya, placed in Group J, will compete against Cameroon, Zimbabwe, and Namibia.

The team is set to kick off its campaign on Friday, September 6, 2024, at the Mandela National Stadium in Namboole, Uganda, before facing Namibia in South Africa on Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

A total of 48 nations have been divided into 12 groups of four. The top two teams from each of the 11 groups—excluding the group involving hosts Morocco—will qualify for the tournament.

The Kenyan squad, captained by Michael Olunga, features a mix of local and international players, including Joseph Okumu, Timothy Ouma, Richard Odada, Eric Johanna, Eric Ouma, Amos Nondi, Jonah Ayunga, John Avire, and Teddy Akumu.
