The two sides are the only unbeaten sides after four rounds of the round robin competition that also features hosts DB Lionesses, Rwandese sides The Hoops and REG as well as Burundi’s Gladiators.

Kenyan sides Equity Hawks and Kenya Ports Authority (KPA) will inevitably clash in the title decider as the FIBA Zone 5 Club championships come to a close at the National Indoor Stadium in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania on Tuesday 23 November 2021.

The two sides are the only unbeaten sides after four rounds of the round robin competition that also features hosts DB Lionesses, Rwandese sides The Hoops and REG as well as Burundi’s Gladiators.

KPA disposed of Gladiators 83-40 in Monday’s action while Defending Kenyan champions Equity Hawks stopped DB Lionesses 76-36.

Commenting ahead of Tuesday’s title decider, KPA Head Coach Anthony Ojukwu said, ““We are ready for the match.  It will be a tough game but the good news is that the Cup is headed back to Kenya after we lost it in 2019 to JKL Dolphins of Uganda.”

David Maina, the Equity Hawks Head Coach said, “We have been in fine form in Dar es Salaam and look forward to recapturing the title that we last won in 2018.”
