Enda Sportswear co-founder shortlisted for Africa Business Heroes grand prize

Navalayo Osembo, the co- founder and Chief Executive  of Kenya and Africa’s first running shoe company, Enda Sportswear, is among the 10 finalists of the 2021 Africa’s Business Heroes program.

Navalayo Osembo, the co- founder and Chief Executive  of Kenya and Africa’s first running shoe company, Enda Sportswear, is among the 10 finalists of the 2021 Africa’s Business Heroes program.

Nava, as she is popularly known, founded Enda alongside Weldon Kennedy in 2015 and have slowly but surely built the Enda brand which recently partnered with Tusker to produce commemorative sneakers for the batch of sportspersons who represented Kenya at the recently concluded Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

She has been shortlisted alongside another Kenyan, Charlot Magayi, the founder and CEO of Mukuru Clean Stoves.

The Africa’s Business Heroes prize competition is a philanthropic initiative for emerging African entrepreneurs spearheaded by the Jack Ma Foundation.

These entrepreneurs will take the stage at the grand finale in November for their final pitch to win a share of a US$1.5 million prize pool.
